Biodiversity and frequency of occurrence of jellyfish (<i>cnidaria</i>) in Al Hoceima Bay (North coast of Morocco, Alboran Sea)

Jellyfish are the best-known group of gelatinous zooplankton; they refer to organisms from phylum Cnidaria, including animals with cnidocytes (stinging cells). As part our research on jellyfish that swarm in bay Al Hoceima conducted during period (2021-2022), a study diversity species has proved be paramount importance because risks associated their proliferation, especially summer periods. The composition and frequency occurrence community Bay (The northern coast Morocco) were studied two seasons, 2021 winter 2022. Antomedusae Pantachogon militare inventoried for first time southwestern Mediterranean Sea.The population is species, Pelagia noctiluca Rhizostoma Pulmo , both showed dense aggregations
